The Citation ceremony

 

The Citation ceremony is an occasion to acknowledge the journey of the outgoing batch of students as they step into the world of opportunities and dreams. It is a time to bid farewell to them and usher them into the new chapter of life. Swiss Cottage School organized the Citation Ceremony on Saturday, 17th February 2024. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp lighting followed by the Gayatri Mantra which is the harbinger of peace and happiness.
 
It was an emotional moment for everyone as it brought back fond memories of the affectionate nurturing moments, which were spent together, right from the instant the students stepped into the portals of the school with butterflies in their stomachs and dreams in their eyes. The citations for each and every student was read out. It highlighted special qualities and talents of the child. The students lit the ceremonial candles with great pride and delight. It was a moment of emotion, nostalgia, tears and excitement. The school Principal Mrs Neena Thimmaya expounded on her most cherished life experiences through her invigorating words. She inspired the students to perform well and outshine in every endeavour. she reiterated the importance of overcoming the limitations of one’s mind by believing in oneself and embracing the journey of life with open arms. The Head boy Vedansh Rana and the Head Girl Subhanshi Dobhal thanked the Management, Principal and the teachers for their tutelage and earnest guidance. With tears in their eyes and faces lit with smiles, they shared some of the most amazing experiences they had lived at the school . The ceremony culminated with the National Anthem.

   Swiss Cottage School is elated to announce that Joy Lakra of grade VII is a published author! The publishers BriBooks, conducted a competition for school students and only the superlative content was published! We are proud of you Joy! FINAL FELICITATION ASSEMBLY OF THE SESSION

  The final Morning Assembly was conducted by grade VI. The students spoke about how best to handle examination stress. The students were awarded their medals for the French Word Power exam- National Level. Medals were also awarded for the International Olympiad of English Language and for the International Hindi Olympiad. The Robotics students were also given their certificates for successful completion of the course. #allwinners #medalsgalore    

EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION TO QUTAB MINAR

  On the pleasant morning of 17th October, the students of Swiss Cottage School- grade 6 to 12 (Heritage club) embarked upon an educational expedition to Qutub Minar - an iconic symbol of India's rich cultural heritage. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated in Delhi. The goal of this school trip is to promise an immersive experience to the students' syllabus, offering insights into the country's glorious past as well as enabling the students to have a better grasp of the content in their books. The students were greeted by an awe-inspiring site - the intricately designed minaret, surrounded by the remnants of historical structures. The aged, red sandstone bore witness to centuries of India's history, and the students were eager to uncover its secrets. SCIENCE FAIR

Date: February 16, 2024 Classes Involved: Grades V to VIII Introduction: The Swiss Cottage School Science Fair, showcased an impressive array of scientific projects and working models. Students enthusiastically participated, demonstrating their creativity, ingenuity, and scientific knowledge. Projects Displayed: Battery-Powered Car: Students designed and built miniature electric cars powered by batteries, showcasing the principles of electrical engineering and sustainable transportation. Vacuum Cleaner: Demonstrations of homemade vacuum cleaners illustrated the application of suction and airflow principles in cleaning technology. NATIONAL UNITY DAY

  We celebrated our erstwhile Dy Prime Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’a birthday anniversary with an allegiance pledge for national unity. DIRECTOR SIR’S BIRTHDAY

We celebrated our dynamic Director, Mr Arun Dagar’s birthday on 17th Nov’23. The festivities in school commenced with sapling plantations and continued through the morning with the staff members, participating enthusiastically in a cake cutting ceremony! INTER- SCHOOL ROBOTICS CHAMPIONS
