FINAL FELICITATION ASSEMBLY OF THE SESSION

  The final Morning Assembly was conducted by grade VI. The students spoke about how best to handle examination stress. The students were awarded their medals for the French Word Power exam- National Level. Medals were also awarded for the International Olympiad of English Language and for the International Hindi Olympiad. The Robotics students were also given their certificates for successful completion of the course. #allwinners #medalsgalore    

ANNUAL JUNIOR SPORTS MEET

The Elementary & Primary students of Swiss Cottage showcased their athletic prowess at the AJSM. There were a plethora of challenging races with age appropriate obstacles and hurdles, which our junior students traversed with alacrity. It was wonderful sunny salubrious day, perfect for the activities and events of the day. The parents were our captive audience, their applause motivated our students to perform to the best of the ability. The winners were felicitated with medals! FARE THEE WELL CLASS OF 2024

  We bid adieu to our twelfth graders with a heavy heart! The event was fraught with bittersweet emotions. The outgoing class are on the threshold of adulthood looking forward with trepidation and excitement to the unknown adventures that lie ahead! We wish them every success and joyous experiences! NATIONAL UNITY DAY

  We celebrated our erstwhile Dy Prime Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’a birthday anniversary with an allegiance pledge for national unity. There was a run for unity and posters and slogans made by the students to reiterate the feeling of nationalism and harmony. #allegiancepledge #runforunity        

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY GOALS

  The Principal, Ms Neena Thimmaya was invited as Guest Speaker at an exclusive, ‘Principals’ Conclave’ hosted by the NorthCap University, Gurgaon. The topic at hand was ‘Environmental Sustainability Goals for Schools’, and she articulately essayed the role of Swiss Cottage School, in reducing the carbon footprint by various means like, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, tree plantation drives, recycling and avoidance of single use plastics to name a few. ANNUAL FUNCTION AT SWISS COTTAGE SCHOOL, NEW DELHI

  “Climb every mountain, ford every stream, follow every rainbow till you find your dream” Amidst sparkling lights and a myriad of hues, The Annual Function for the session 2023-24 was held with great zeal and enthusiasm at Swiss Cottage School, New Delhi on Monday, 11th December, 2023. The theme of the programme “TRYST WITH DESTINY” , included a series of thematic performances. A galaxy of dignitaries graced the occasion.   Swiss Cottage School, New Delhi 'From bustling cities to serene villages, the spirit of India resides in every heart. Let's raise our voice, join our hands to build a stronger nation' Swiss Cottage School, Bijwasan, New Delhi, celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great patriotic zeal and fervour. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by revered Chairperson Mrs Raj Dagar and Principal Mrs Neena Thimmaya. It was accompanied by the National Anthem. The patriotic fervour warmed up the cold winter morning as everyone was permeated with the feeling of pride and love for the country. SCIENCE FAIR

Date: February 16, 2024 Classes Involved: Grades V to VIII Introduction: The Swiss Cottage School Science Fair, showcased an impressive array of scientific projects and working models. Students enthusiastically participated, demonstrating their creativity, ingenuity, and scientific knowledge. Projects Displayed: Battery-Powered Car: Students designed and built miniature electric cars powered by batteries, showcasing the principles of electrical engineering and sustainable transportation. Vacuum Cleaner: Demonstrations of homemade vacuum cleaners illustrated the application of suction and airflow principles in cleaning technology. MATHEMATICS (RAMANUJAM) CLUB ACTIVITY

  The Math Club organised two brain teasers for its members! The first was a quiz which had components of MCQs and problem solving. The club also hosted a Tangram activity. To the uninitiated it is an ancient Chinese puzzle that involves rearranging seven geometric shapes to form various shapes and objects. It’s an ideal activity to develop spatial reasoning and problem solving skills! #makingmathfun #swisscottageschool
